The breathtaking Winchester House was chosen by one happy couple as the setting for both their wedding ceremony and reception in September.
The day began with a stunning ceremony in the ballroom, which comes complete with beautiful views over the river Thames and a chic, understated colour scheme which allowed the couple to really make the space their own.
Following the romantic ceremony, guests made their way downstairs to the gardens of Winchester House, where they enjoyed a drinks reception and tucked into freshly baked scones with jam and cream – a true British classic!
Whilst the drinks reception was in full swing, the Create team were busy transforming the ballroom ready for the wedding breakfast. It wasn’t long before the final touches were being made to tables and we were ready to welcome guests back in for a sumptuous feast of Create dishes!
The wedding breakfast began with a Picnic Hamper starter. Inspired by the Great British picnic, this dish included a mini gala pie, coronation chicken frittata, smoked salmon rilette, pickled asparagus and curd. Vegetarians were served a Create twist on a Greek salad, with feta panna cotta, grilled snake beans, inca tomatoes, compressed cucumber and olive granola with basil.
For the main course, we served Beef and Onion – pot-roasted beef with sticky glazed shallots, tomato ragout fondant, watercress and fennel salad. Vegetarians enjoyed spelt, barley and squash risotto with black bomber cheese beignet and sage dressing. Our tempting dessert went down a treat with guests at this wedding! The couple chose a salted caramel tart with roasted pecans and creamed chocolate sauce.
